Foraging Foray – CPD – Date to be rescheduled
12th June 2020
In light of the Covid-19 situation, this event is under review and is likley to be rescheduled for later in the year
Charlie Gray is a qualified ethnobotanist and community food grower, with more than 15 years foraging experience. She is also a qualified and experienced forest school leader.
The morning will be spent walking around Thornton and the surrounding area, stopping and starting en route, as & when we discover things. Charlie will show us some of the common plants we’ll find and how to identify them. She’ll then share some of the typical recipes and remedies associated with them and may even bring some tasters for us to try… As we walk, Charlie will also try and spot some of the more unusual plants to look out for.
After our walk, please join us for a cafe lunch at Plenty at the Square, Thornton’s amazing vegetarian cafe. Please indicate on the booking form if you think you’d like to join us, but we’ll confirm final numbers when we convene that morning.
