Campfires and Outdoor Cooking

Bear and Lapor run a programme of outdoor learning courses for teaching staff, outdoor learning co-ordinators and forest school practitioners

The Campfires and Outdoor Cooking course (13 February 2018) will enable delegates to experience the range of activities to enable safe campfires to be created and used for cooking. By the end of the course they will have:
 Developed basic skills in setting up a campfire area; lighting the fire, using different methods and maintaining the fire for cooking purposes.
 Cooked several simple dishes that can be used with groups of children or adults.
 Discussed how these ideas may be applied in their role.
In addition, we will explore links to the National Curriculum, topics and books / stories
