Enabling opportunities for participants to take supported risks is one of the key elements of forest school – but how do we safely manage those risks?   This online session will guide those new (and not so new) to forest school through the process of risk assessment including

  • What is a risk assessment and why do we need them?
  • The 5 stages of risk management
  • Identifying and evaluating different types of risk
  • Keeping records and reviewing practice to make risk assessments work for you

This event will take place on Microsoft Teams so you’ll need a computer or mobile device linked to the internet,  (you don’t need to have a Teams account).  The Teams link will be sent out with booking confirmation.
