A half day course walking through the woods, to develop our skills as Forest School and Outdoor Learning Practitioners. We’ll learn about the biology of trees, tree hazard identification & discuss the balance with risk-benefit assessments & safety. We’ll look at a variety of different woodland habitats and discuss the pros & cons of different locations for running forest school. We’ll also develop practical skills eg felling small trees & coppicing.
